Playing The Waiting Game

That is the only way to describe my life right now. As most of you know, I have less than a week left of school. My last final is on Monday. So this week will be nothing but studying and finishing my 15-20 page paper. So, I am waiting for graduation!

I had an interview a couple weeks ago. The company called me back in on Friday to talk a little more and told me they were interested. So, I am waiting to see if they offer me the job. In the meantime, I am waiting to see if any of the other jobs I applied for call me for an interview.

Our realtor called us and told us that someone is very interested in making an offer on our house. They wanted to know what our homeowners assoc rules were for building a fence and were also somewhat concerned about airplane noise, so we gave our realtor a copy of our rules and regulations and signed something about the noise yesterday. Now we are waiting to see if they put in an offer. We had zero people look at our house the first two months it was up and now have had four people, so at least we're moving in the right direction.

Unfortunately, that's all I can do, is sit here and wait. Today I literally do mean sit here, cuz the NewlyHusband took my car to work, so I'm at home all day.

Oh and Ps: I definitely just heard and felt the space shuttle! There was this big BOOM BOOM and my whole house vibrated.

  1. Job searching is not about waiting! I work with graduate students and the number 1 thing we tell them is that in this economy you've got to be proactive. Write a thank you note, send an email, ask if you can attend an informational interview! I'll be crossing my fingers that everything will work out well!

  3. Thanks Hannah. I did send a thank you after the 1st interview and followed up by email after the 2nd letting them know I was interested.

  4. I hate waiting...
But- the things you are waiting for are all positive! Makes for a more pleasant waiting game (but I would still hate it...)
